Serve Teams
We encourage everyone to get involved in serving - even if you're not sure about this church thing!
Did you know that serving the church is not just a way to give back, but also a crucial aspect of your spiritual growth? The Bible teaches us that each of us has been given unique spiritual gifts by God to be used for the benefit of the church and the world around us. Whether it's through teaching, serving, encouraging, or giving, we all have a role to play in building up the body of Christ.
Why is serving important to us? Here are a few reasons why:
1. Community: Serving allows you to connect with fellow believers and build meaningful relationships that can support and encourage you on your faith journey.
2. Humility: When we serve, we put others' needs before our own, which helps us develop a humble and Christ-like attitude.
3. Gifts and Talents: God has given each of us unique gifts and talents, and serving in the church allows us to use them for His glory.
4. Discipleship: Serving provides opportunities for mentorship and discipleship, as we learn from more experienced believers and grow in our understanding of God's Word.
5. Impact: By serving, we can make a real difference in the lives of others, both within the church and in the wider community.
Volunteering is rewarding, but it's also a great way to get to know people. We encourage everyone to get involved in serving - even if you're not sure about this church thing! It's a great way to help others get to know God and walk together in community.

Whether you have plenty of experience or have never prayed out loud for someone before, we’d love to have you! Our prayer volunteers typically sign up for 1 or more Sundays a month to be available at the end of a church service if anyone needs prayer.
-
If you are passionate about leading the congregation in music, we are always looking for worshipers to join our team. Whether you have years of musical experience or are just getting started, there is a place for you. We also need techy people behind the scenes to help with lights, sound, running our live-stream and Pro-Presenter on Sunday mornings.
-
If you want to be part of a life group but don't have one yet, we can help you get started. We would love to talk to you about how we could get the life group to come to you. It's a lot easier than you think and incredibly rewarding. Life group leaders need to be members of the church, but you can be a Life Group Host anytime.

If you love people and making them feel at home, this position could be a great fit for you! Greeters welcome people as they walk in, answer questions and try to get newcomers connected. Ushers hand out bulletins, count attendance and assist in helping people to their seat.

Passionate about creating joy in the form of a warm (or iced) drink? We'd love to have you on our Sunday morning coffee team! Baristas will take orders, prepare coffee, lattes and a variety of hand-crafted beverages for church-goers to enjoy. You'll typically work on a team of 2.
-
Enjoy working behind the scenes? Our office task force helps fold bulletins, helps create weekly announcement graphics in Canva and assists our staff with miscellaneous office duties, like organizing cupboards and putting up posters.
-
Ready for the best week of summer? Love discipling other to Christ, or just passionate about camp ministry? We run a two-week summer camp in August every year out on the beautiful Moose Lake. We have areas in need from cooking in the kitchen, housekeeping, cabin leaders, games facilitators, snack shack keepers, and more.

There are many other ways to serve at Bonnyville Baptist Church. Here are some ideas to get you started:
Videographer: we need someone who loves telling stories in a visual way!
Outreach Team: Is seeing others come to know Jesus your heart? This is the ministry for you.
Visitation: There are always people who need love, and can't come to the church to tell us!
Decorating: We have so many ideas, but not enough hands to make it happen!
